The Goblin Chronicles

The Goblin Chronicles are the continuing story-layer record of the REE project: real project turns retold in the language of goblins, magics, forges, reefs, ledgers, rulers, and expeditions.

They are deliberately separate from the scientific evidence. A Chronicle may preserve what a failure felt like or why a turn mattered, but it does not replace the claims ledger, experiment record, failure autopsy, or implementation history. The technical record remains the place where the world answers.

The origin tale is told on REE for My Parents. The dated Chronicles continue from there. Several of them are about welfare: worlds that hurt before they warned, a store of dread with no ceiling, a death that did not mean anything. Those lessons, and what changed because of them, are told plainly in What We Got Wrong.

Publication note: the canonical working copies are maintained in the project’s private ree-paper/fantasy/ corpus. This page is the public reading index. Public mirrors are intended to track the canonical Chronicle files without rewriting them into a cleaner success story. Many Chronicles end in a technical note. In this public copy those notes, and the stories themselves, carry no design detail: settings, code and file names, and claim and experiment identifiers are replaced by plain words, and the lessons are kept (1 October 2026). The full records stay in the project’s private archive.

The Chronicles are unfinished because the project is unfinished. New entries should be added when a real project turn is worth preserving in story form; failures, reversals, exhausted hypotheses, and good stopping points are as eligible as successes.
